THE
PROJECT
Impeller leads the creative force behind LEGO® Star Wars™: The Exhibition’. shaping the concept, narrative, spatial design, and delivery of this blockbuster touring experience. At the helm is founder and creative director Adrian Caddaye, whose role bridges big-picture storytelling with deep franchise knowledge. Acting as both project lead and Star Wars specialist, Adrian ensures every scene, moment, and transition is both authentic to the universe and electrifying for today’s audiences.
From the first sketch to the final install, Impeller imagined and realised a world where the Star Wars galaxy comes to life through the medium of LEGO. Leading the conceptual development, exhibition design, spatial sequencing, and thematic flow every scene was carefully curated to balance cinematic impact with personal interaction. Rather than replicating the Star Wars universe, Impeller reinterpreted it using LEGO to tell stories while honouring over four decades of legacy.
The result is a layered, a intuitive journey through story and space, from the surprise of a character reveal to the imaginative nature of a build station. Digital interactives and soundscapes were integrated with sculptural installations, guiding visitors of all ages through a galaxy where memory, play, and imagination collide.
Behind the scenes, Impeller managed every facet of delivery. From design and approvals to fabrication and touring logistics, the studio coordinated with global stakeholders including The LEGO Group, Disney, and Lucasfilm to ensure the experience was authentic, technically robust, and ready to travel lightyears or thousands of kilometres without ever losing its magic.
This exhibition isn’t just seen it’s felt, built, and remembered. It’s blockbuster exhibition making at its most ambitious, and Impeller was there at every moment to make it real.
